BLACKPOOL and The Fylde College have elected their first ever student governor. Michael Ramsden, 18, a Business Studies student, was selected by the Students' Union as their representative on the Board of Governors.

Recent changes in government legislation mean all governing bodies of colleges in England and Wales must have at least one student governor.
