PASSENGERS aboard the Flight for Millennium Night at Clitheroe Trinity Methodist Church Hall enjoyed a trip to 10 countries after passing through a makeshift departure lounge and passport control.
The event, organised by the Clitheroe Support Group of the NCH Action for Children charity, saw the hall transformed into an airport with passengers each paying a £3 fare.
Circuit co-ordinator secretary Joan Wrigley explained: "Everyone who came on the flight had to arrive at the airport and check in before going through a security checkpoint, then into the departure lounge where there were gifts and sweets while they waited for the flight to be called.
"Once they had boarded the plane Captain Jim Paul and co-pilot Peter Wrigley whisked them to 10 countries." The countries were a series of slides presented by support group members. Joan went on: "We had great sound effects where the plane would take off and land and even an in-flight meal." The evening raised more than £400.
Support members are pictured dressed as air hostesses and cabin crew.
