IN a recent poll organised by the BBC, Karl Marx was voted "Thinker of the Millennium".
One of his more mundane thoughts was: "A capitalist would sell you the rope to hang him with, if he thought he would make a profit".
The recent reports that French cattle feed manufacturers are using human excrement to "pad out" the product are surely proof of how right he was. The depths of depravity to which profiteers will sink is beyond belief. Torturers the world over have forced their victims to eat their own excrement. It seems we have been eating it for years and paying for the privilege!
