THE police were castigated for controlling the howling mob during the passing procession of President Jiang Zamin of China, who was on a recent State visit.

I hope it was noticed that - like some other demonstrations in our capital - the majority of demonstrators were either overseas students or visitors from abroad. There should be a proviso on their visas that if they indulge in political demonstrations their visas will be cancelled.

The feeling against China has been whipped up by the frustration of the West at its failure to foist on China the phoney democracy that it foisted on Africa and Eastern Europe. Evil thugs were installed as heads of state, committing genocide and bleeding their countries dry with the aid of supplies from the West.
