PRIMARY school teachers taking part in a special workshop were not only given the opportunity to make cars, but also to take them apart and even crash test them.

The course, held on Tuesday (Nov 9) at Evans Halshaw Ford in Ashton on Ribble, Preston, was designed for teachers to sample some of the many activities contained in Ford's educational resource, Motoring Through History, before introducing them to their pupils.

And teachers from Moor Park Junior, Grange Park Junior and Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Primary schools were keen to test the pack out.

At the end of the day each teacher left holding the pneumatic brake drum, gears and model cars they had made and tested, along with a copy of the pack donated to the schools by Evans Halshaw.
