THE squash outfits at Leigh's Classic World of Fitness scored a double success for the first time this season.

The Firsts buried Bury, despite missing No 1 Tod Bulmer, roaring to a 4-1 win with straight-sets victories for stand-in Graham Draper and Mike Howard.

Mark Taylor, playing at No 1, went down 3-1, despite looking the better player, but there were 3-1 wins for both Bob Morgan and Graham Collier.

The Seconds scored a thrilling 3-2 win at Widnes, the team giving a great start by Linda Gregory who battled from 2-1 down to win 3-2. Ted Williams, on his first game of the season, showed his experience in a 3-0 win, but Jim Capon was unable to match his speedy opponent, going down in straight sets.

Vic Moses, suffering a loss of form, won the first game but went down 3-1. That left the match resting on the final confrontation, Howard Thornley coming through in style at 3-1.
