A WATER worker distributing leaflets found the body of 30-year-old Stephen Thompson on a garden footpath in Sandfield Road at lunchtime on Saturday.
Det Sgt Mike Collins, from Rawtenstall CID, said paramedics were called but Mr Thompson, of Sandfield Road had been dead for some time.
He said the East Lancashire coroner David Smith had been informed but police did not think there were any suspicious circumstances.
