VOLUNTEERS braved wind and rain to complete a fancy dress pub crawl in Burnley town centre.

Members of the Freeflow group, an independent organisation providing free counselling and guidance to all women with problems, raised around £175 in the collection.

The 20-strong group, based in Thomas Street, needs £1,800 to meet running costs until April when they hope to attract county council funding.

Their next fund-raiser will be at Padiham police station on Monday when they take part in a sponsored lock up in police cells.
