I AM a 66-year-old disabled pensioner and for six days at Christmas and four days at New Year, I was left on my own.
I know I had frozen food from Meals on Wheels which I could heat to make hot meals, but I had a heating breakdown.
I had only a two-bar Belling heater which I borrowed and a small fan heater for my bedroom.

Also, they would be all right for people who go into hospital overnight for small operations and have no family. They could stay a few days.
