CAN anyone tell me why the council didn't organise anything at all for the millennium celebrations? They have proved themselves more than capable of organising events which bring the community together during the summer but for the millennium there was absolutely nothing.
I would have loved to have attended some sort of event with my family to welcome in the new millennium with thousands of other local people. I made a great night of it anyway but if ever an opportunity was missed to bring the whole community together, young and old, that was it. If the council start preparing now they might just be organised in time for the next millennium.
