PLEASE withhold my name but I work at Reebok and would like to add a few more details to your pre-Christmas story about the 100 job losses at the warehouse.
The place has a very draconian atmosphere with supervisors often showing contempt for the staff.
Management have favourite workers, staff spies and it seems the supervisors who create the worst atmosphere get the most brownie points.
If you complain to a supervisor about anything, all you get is "You know what to do if you don't like it!" They make life hard for anyone who they feel doesn't fit in and they often force overtime on people which can sometimes be up to10 hours. This is not good when you've got a family and only a day's notice.
Everyone at the warehouse is worried for their jobs because so many are on temporary contracts. Also, if you swipe out and are a minute early they make sure you lose 15 minutes pay.
There are a couple of good supervisors but it's about time that Reebok/ Tibbett and Britten Group realised that we are in the year 2000 not the 1920s!
Please only print this letter if it has no chance of being traced by my bosses.
