AN Englishman's home may be his castle, but Stephen Clegg's has become a headache - because he has nowhere to store it in his house!

Every year retired engineer Stephen, of Walton-le-Dale, makes a massive moving display which tells a story.

His huge structure sits under his car port during Christmas, charming children from around the area.

In the past Snow White has been the attraction, and singing, dancing polar bears were last year's festive entertainment.

But during Christmas 1999 David Beckham and Posh Spice took centre stage in the car port, living inside an eight-foot-high castle, which is run by 15 small motors at the flick of a switch

But because he has put all of his other displays in storage, he has nowhere to keep his latest model. Unless he can find a home for his dream castle, Stephen will have to demolish the creation, which took him 10 months to build.

He said: "I will give it to someone who will be able to use it. It might be of use to a charity or something.

"I would keep it in my garden but I think it would be stolen or damaged."

The castle even comes with its occupants Mr and Mrs Beckham!

He added: "Hopefully I can find someone who wants it and will put it on display for others to see. It would be a shame to have to dismantle it."
