HALF the classes in Lancashire primary schools had more than 30 children, according to a survey.
Almost one in five had more than 35 youngsters, and two per cent of classes had more than 40. The findings were appalling, said the National Union of Teachers, which carried out the survey for its "Primary Comes First" campaign.
