EASY access dental centres are planned for Morecambe as part of a new initiative to provide fast and more convenient services.
Morecambe Bay Health Authority has been chosen as one of five north west pilot areas and a spokesman for the authority said: "People do not need to be registered with the centres in order to be treated.
They will be able to simply make an appointment by telephone. We are aiming for two surgeries in Morecambe and the sites have yet to be identified.
Dentists and dental nurses will be paid salaries and the centres will have up to date modern equipment."
