Wigan Warriors 30 Saints 16 LEADING 12-10 at half-time, a Saints' squad fielding eight youngsters battled bravely before being outpointed in front of a record 16,854 crowd at the JJB Stadium on Boxing Day.
Saints tries were scored by Steve Hall, Tommy Martyn and Sean Long, who also kicked two goals. Wigan's touchdowns came from Simon Haughton (2), Jason Robinson, Steve Renouf, Kris Radlinski and Paul Johnson. Farrell also kicked three goals.
