THE family of little Emma-Louise Bowes, who died in a house fire in August 1998, have hit out at heartless thieves who removed flowers placed on a lamp-post outside the house where she died.
Flowers were removed from Peckers Hill Road, Sutton, twice in December. Emma-Louise's heartbroken mum, Sue, who now lives in Frenchfield Street, Clock Face, told the Star: "Since the fire we have placed flowers outside the house for Emma-Louise's birthday, which is on December 14, and at Christmas.
"This year someone took the flowers soon after they were placed there. It is very distressing for us. We want to pay our respects at the place where our daughter lost her life and when we do someone destroys what we have done."
