THE remains of a Bury soldier have been discovered in Belgium - 85 years after he fell in battle.
He has been identified as Mr Harry Wilkinson, a Lancs Fusilier, who died in Flanders in November, 1914 at the age of 20.
Now plans are being made to give Private Wilkinson, who lived in Lord Street, a full military funeral.
His remains were discovered by an historian and officials at the Fusliers Museum in Bury were instrumental in identifying him.
