NEXT Wednesday's reserve game against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok has been put back 24 hours to Thursday January 13 (kick off 7pm) because of Bolton's involvement in the Worthington Cup semi-finals.

And Rovers have also announced new dates for the two reserve games which were postponed before Christmas.

The game against Barnsley reserves, which should have taken place on December 21 at Ewood, will now go ahead on Tuesday 29 February.

And the clash with Everton, postponed from December 8, will now take place on Wednesday May 3, also at Ewood.

ROVERS Youth team face a tricky tie against holders West Ham United in the fourth round of The Times FA Youth Cup on January 19.

The Hammers, led by future England prospect Joe Cole, set a competition record when they stuffed Coventry 9-0 on aggregate in last year's final.

Cole is eligible again and could well line up against Rob Kelly's young lion's in 11 days time alongside another exciting prosepct in Jermaine Defoe.

But with Rovers two academy teams both enjoying excellent seasons so far they will fancy their chances when they travel south. Meanwhile, Rovers' two academy teams are both without fixtures this weekend but they are back in action next Saturday in a re-arranged double-header against Bolton Wanderers.

ROVERS Supporters Club are holding their first monthly quiz of the new Millennium at the Blues Bar next Thursday.

The night kicks off at 8pm and teams of four or five are welcome. The entry fee is £5 per team.

SHEFFIELD United boss Neil Warnock has been named the Nationwide First Division manager of the month for December.
