BLACKBURN Hawks should welcome back netminder Colin Downie for this weekend's ice hockey double header after his New Year fitness battle.
The Hawks star has been treated by Blackburn Rovers' medical staff and is confident of a playing return in tonight's challenge match against Flintshire at the Arena.
Sunday sees player-coach Bobby Haig turn his attentions to English League Division One (North) action as his side travel to Nottingham. It was against the Lions that Downie picked up the injury, a painful hamstring strain, back in December.
Haig should have a full complement of players to pick from for both games after an injury-free Christmas break.
