THE British Touring Car Championship has been forced to revise its calendar for this year, following the shift of dates for the British Grand Prix. The 2000 BTCC will now start at Donington Park on March 25-26, the re-scheduling leaves the Easter weekend (April 23-24) free and avoids a clash with the Grand Prix meeting at Silverstone. The second Donington round has been moved back one week - to July 29-30 - in order to accommodate the BBC Grandstand Live schedule.

"The need to re-examine our 2000 calendar has also provided the opportunity to finalise the three live television dates, which remain at Brands Hatch (April 9) and Oulton Park (Sept 10), with Donington Park fitting in nicely in the middle of the season on July 30," said Alan Gow, TOCA chief executive.
