LANCASHIRE Lynx will be looking to kick-start the new campaign with a victory over Rochdale Hornets after two defeats.

Coach Steve Hampson has already got selection problems with Dave Murray having left the club at the end of his contract and new signing John Paul Docherty injured although he could be fit for tomorrow's game at Victory Park, kick off 3pm.

Also missing last weekend was Andy Fisher but he also should be fit for this weekend. Ex-Swinton player Barry Ashall made his Lynx debut from the substitutes bench at Widnes and he will keep his place in the squad.

Like Lynx, Rochdale have made a losing start to the new season. Big things were expected under new coach Steve Linnane, but a narrow defeat in their opening game at Oldham was followed up by a 42-14 home defeat at the hands of championship favourites Leigh.

Lynx will be looking to capitalise against a side which at the moment has a long injury list with at least six first team regulars likely to be missing.

But they still possess enough class players like Shayne McMenemy and Darrell Derose in the forwards to cause Lynx problems. However, if Lynx are to make any progress this season these are the type of sides that must be overcome at Victory Park.

Lynx will select from: Roberts, Kay, Rostance, Garcia, Jones, Demitri, Alexander, Mike Prescott, Hannan, Norton, O'Loughlin, Smith, Hodgkinson, Shaun Geritas, Darren Geritas, Neil Prescott, Ashall, Docherty, Fisher, Charnley.
