THE man in charge of Blackburn Cathedral has been promoted by church leaders.
The Provost, the Very Rev David Frayne, has been told he is to become the new Dean of the cathedral.
A spokesman for the Blackburn Diocese of the Church of England said: "This is something that is happening across the country.
"The church has decided it makes sense for all the Provosts to be made into Deans."
