A HUGE pageant and firework display was held to mark the end of the Millennium at Blackburn Cathedral.
The event was organised by Blackburn College and similar concerts are planned for tonight and tomorrow night. The pageant was based on key events from English history over the last 1,000 years.
Performers included students from high schools and colleges, the St Nicholas Singers, Blackburn Cathedral Girls' Choir and the Blackburn Symphony Orchestra.
