BLACKBURN Hawks defender Eddie Cooper faces a frustrating period on the sidelines after missing his side's double disappointment at the weekend.

Cooper was forced out of Hawks' two defeats by Kingston due to a back injury.

And Hawk's number 93 was sorely missed, as Bobby Haig's side conceded 19 goals in two days.

Haig has something of an injury crisis on his hands as his side look to make a push for the playoffs in the English League Division One (North).

"Colin has picked up a knock and we don't know how long he will be out yet," admitted Haig. "Wayne Whitby has a similar injury.

"Colin Downie has aggravated his hamstring injury, but that doesn't look too serious. Paul Mahon is a bit more serious, his shoulder injury has flared up again."

The Hawks play the Canadian Navy side on Saturday before facing Flintshire on Sunday.
