FUND-RAISING Rossendale councillor Jimmy Eaton is at it again.

And this time he is raising money to help one of Bacup's most famous institutions put the town on the international map.

The Britannia Coconutters have been invited to compete in a competition in Belgium against groups from around the world.

But it will cost the troupe thousands for their world-beating trip so they enlisted the help of Jimmy to give their funds a boost.

Jimmy has organised a music spectacular at Bacup Leisure Hall with the cream of local talent live on stage.

The entertainment will include local band Souled As Seen, Abba tribute band Abbadabadoo, Russell Abbott and Manchester United's DJ Keith Fane will be doing the disco.

Jimmy has commissioned a professional painting of the Coconutters which will be auctioned off on the night and hopes to have some Manchester United memorabilia as prizes as well.

Tickets are £8 and are available by ringing Jimmy on 01706 878153, or from Healey Starr, and Abbott's Pet Shop, Bacup.
