RESIDENTS of a new neighbourhood group enjoyed their first community event -- a children's egg hunt.
More than 40 youngsters took part in the race to find hardboiled eggs hidden all over the estate off Cicely Lane, Blackburn, by members of ARC, the Association for Residents of Cicely.
And the lucky finders could trade them in for chocolate eggs at the party on Town View, Blackburn, on Easter Sunday.
Secretary Simon Byrne, who dressed up as an Easter bunny for the party, said: "It's been a brilliant day, the children have really enjoyed it."
ARC's next event is a visit to a circus for youngsters next week.
