IT IS anybody's guess how long we will have to wait for some good to fast ground, with the weekend forecast on the wet side again and the classics only a couple of weeks away.

Take my advice and do not waste your money on ante-post betting for the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas. I have been told that whatever Godolphin brings over from Dubai will take all the beating.

I watched Godolphin's horses work whilst I was in Dubai and they have lots of ammunition in their classic arsenal, so my advice is wait and see before you have a bet.

I am going to Catterick on Wednesday to have my biggest bet of the season on Distinctly Blue. This horse is working like a newly rated horse at home and is my nap of the week.

On Thursday at Beverley, Sahara Spirit should get its head in front after a couple of very encouraging runs already this season.

I've had a very good word for a Mick Jarvis runner at Sandown on Friday. This horse won very easily first time out last season and has been pleasing everyone at home. I will be very surprised if Fallachan does not run a big race.

One for your notebooks is the Tim Easterbys trained Guinea Hunter. I have been old he has been gelded and is working great at home with some of the stable's best horses.

On Saturday expect a big race out of My Tyson ridden by Emma Ramsden. Emma, who is the best amateur rider in the country, gets the best out of this Ribble Valley owned horse. I have had excellent vibes about the Tim Easterby trained two year old Miss Beady, but the ground would not suit her at Ripon if it is heavy. Also at Ripon on Saturday Chris Grant's Kierchem will run a big race. In the Whitbread Golf Cup I like the consistent Beau and in the Classic trial also at Sandown, Beat Hollow will take all the beating.

Have a good week.
