THE Clarets ran the rule over Everton striker Gary Dempsey, who played in their Pontin's League goalless draw at West Brom last night.
The teenager, who has just completed his first season as a professional, is one of six being released at the end of the season from Goodison Park.
Dempsey has played regularly for the Republic of Ireland Under 18 side and has made five starts for Everton's reserve side this season.
