WE'VE all heard that oft-repeated moan: 'Neighbours just aren't the same these days!'

But pensioner Mrs E. Roberts of Campion Close, Haresfinch, wouldn't agree with this for one moment.

In fact, she's so grateful to

the caring folk around her that she's penned a prosey little tribute as a special thank-you.

I LIVE in a Close

Where the neighbours are the most.

When I'm in despair,

The neighbours they repair,

When I am sad

I thank the Lord for neighbours that I've had

The good Lord gave me health

And for me that's more than wealth,

God Bless to all of my neighbours.

NOT a poetic masterpiece, perhaps, but the sentiment certainly shines through,
