THE new £1 million Brookhouse County Primary School, Blackburn, was officially opened.
The "split-level" showpiece, which opened its doors to pupils in September, was a major step in easing a classroom squeeze.
The school, off Troy Street, created 245 places, mainly serving communities in the Brookhouse area.
