ON Saturday, April 15, we spent an interesting evening in the new cultural and recreational centre of the Gujarat Hindu Society in South Meadow Lane, Preston.
Everyone was warmly welcomed and, after a tour of this impressive and functional building, we sat down to a superb vegetarian meal provided by the women's committee and were entertained with some excellent traditional dance.
The Gujarat Hindu Society are rightly proud of this new centre and I wish them continued success.
Also a big "thank-you" for their hospitality and a memorable evening.
