CORRESPONDENT "Bury fan for years" (Apr 21) wrote asking for more people to write to the Bury Times requesting a clearout at Gigg Lane.

I am responding, as requested, but to ask fans to get behind the directors, who do their best in almost impossible circumstances. To say that Terry Robinson and Neville Neville do nothing to help must make sad reading to these two men who work tirelessly to keep the club afloat.

Instead of criticising the directors, perhaps the writer could provide solutions as to how the club can go forward on an average crowd of under 4,000.

We all know that the current football is not pretty, and that we need to get back into Division One. To knock the men in charge does not help. I have had contact with Neville in the past and found him to be 100 per cent behind the club.

I feel both men do their best in very difficult times and, until another benefactor arrives, we should give our total support.
