REGARDING the price of petrol, I take it Chris Wrigley (Letters, July 5) is not a car owner, with his "I'm all right, Jack," attitude.
Some people need cars to enable them to work.
They need to work to provide for their families so that they do not suffer from malnutrition.
Where are the 18,000 children that Mr Wrigley says die from this? Certainly not in our country.
B ANTHONY (Mrs), John Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
