IT is quite clear that Tony Blair does not give a stuff about the high cost of petrol and diesel fuel and the problems that this is creating for many people and businesses.
After watching and listening to his cavalier attitude in reply to a serious question from Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans on this subject on July 5, we can expect no help from him.
Although he never tires of reminding us that the automatic fuel escalator was brought in by the last Tory government, he and the Chancellor are quite prepared to sit back and rake in millions in extra tax.
One would have thought that now that he is in power, he would be pleased to correct this iniquitous tax-gathering scheme which has gone completely out of control
