A DISTRESSED woman who was threatening to jump was talked down from St Peter's multi-storey car park, in Church Street, Burnley, after two hours of negotiations with the police.
Church Street and Ormerod Road were closed to traffic while attempts were made to persuade the woman, who was sitting with her legs dangling over the edge, to come down safely.
Emergency services were alerted at 11.40pm. It was around 1.30pm when she finally agreed to leave the roof and walked down.
She was taken to Burnley General Hospital and later allowed home.
