POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a man in his twenties was assaulted and beaten by three attackers.
It happened at about 1.30am on Sunday, July 2, as the victim was making his home along Yorkshire Street, in Burnley.
PC Darren Ware said the attack happened close to the Clog and Spindle pub. He added: "He crossed the road near to the culvert towards the Clog and Spindle pub and said hello to three men walking past him. Suddenly they jumped on him and beat him."
The victim suffered concussion and was then taken to Burnley General Hospital for treatment.
