THE Government's decision to snub the European helicopter was slammed.
The £2.5 billion order was awarded to the American-designed Apache. The announcement followed months of campaigning by the three bidders including the European built Tiger in which the 3,700 workforce at British Aerospace's Samlesbury plant would have played a major role.
