RUGBY League fans across the north of England have come out in support of automatic promotion and relegation between Super League and the Northern Ford Premiership.
Local radio station GMR ran a poll during Sunday night's broadcast with a staggering 94 per cent in favour of the NFP Grand Final winners automatically replacing Super League's bottom club.
Kevin Ashcroft, Leigh's commercial manager and a GMR pundit, said: "The response was absolutely staggering. The BBC switchboard almost blew a fuse with the number of people trying to get through.
"Of all the calls we managed to take, 94 per cent were in favour. It's a pretty fair indication on how strongly the fans feel on this subject."
