BIG changes are afoot in bus services throughout the borough.
The entire Wigan-based service will be affected by the changes to timetables and routings from July 30.
New timetables will be delivered to more than 120,000 homes in Leigh and Wigan and leaflets posted on buses and in bus stations.
First Manchester operations director Russell Gard said: "This is the first opportunity we have had to take a long overdue, critical look at our entire operations in the Wigan and Leigh area, and we have identified a number of important shortcomings in the service which need to be addressed.
"The new network will enable us to serve our customers better with a bus service designed for the 21st Century."
