POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident outside a taxi office, which left a 28-year-old man with a fractured cheekbone.
The incident happened between 1am and 1.15am on Sunday, July 2, outside Yellow Cabs in Ormskirk Street, St Helens. The victim had gone out to assist a friend who had become involved in an argument. As he went to see what was going on he was set upon and knocked to the floor where he was kicked and punched.
The man received treatment for a fractured cheekbone at Whiston and Fazakerley Hospitals and police would like to speak to anyone who may be able to help them with their inquiries.
