retail giants Matalan plan to open its 108th store at Lancaster Retail Park on September 21.
The new 18,000 sq ft store will create 45 new jobs and is one of 117 new stores Matalan is opening this year.
The new stores are part of Matalan's store expansion programme which will aims to create 2,000 jobs in the year 2000.
Matalan's no frills approach to retailing has given it a reputation of passing on huge savings on to it's customers. They boast that they can offer prices that are a fraction of those currently offered by it's high street competitors.
Local recruitment is well underway but Christine Steel, the Lancaster store manager, commented, "We still have a number of positions to fill and are currently seeking experienced personnel. Anyone interested in working for us should contact our recruitment hotline on 01695 552732."
