sPAPERBOY Liam Burke is hoping local people can deliver some news about his missing bike.

Twelve-year-old Liam has had to quit his paper round after having the mountain bike stolen from under his nose outside his papershop on Cross Lane, Radcliffe.

Liam, from the town's Olsberg Close, was up bright and early for his round at 6.20am last Thursday (Oct 5). He was collecting his papers from Butterworth's newsagents when a man aged around 20 and wearing a bulky white jacket pushed him aside and took off on the bike.

Liam had only bought the orange and black 'Nitro Barracuda' a week earlier. He started the paper round nine months ago and has been saving up for the bike ever since.

His dad, James, said: "I can't believe a grown man, could stoop so low. He must be really desperate."
