THE Woodplumpton Veterans Bowling League Merit Day was won by Bill Hardacre of Grimsargh who beat A Barron of St Michael's 21-16 in the final.
The competition, held at Barton Bowling Club, was entered by 24 teams and raised £500 for the Air Ambulance Fund.
