A HAT-TRICK of wins has meant an impressive start to the season for King Edward and Queen Mary 2nd XV.
With sixty players competing for first and second team places captains Tristan Thompson and Tom Eastham have an unprecedented pool of talent to call on.
Eastham has led his side to big wins against Liverpool College and Kirkham GS and a 24-3 away victory at Lymm has boosted morale further.
Coach Simon Smith is delighted with the spirited start. "We have a mobile and determined pack," he said, "and some good ball players such as Chris Pickles and Richard Whiteside in the backs. The next match when we entertain Stockport GS will be big test but I think home advantage should give us the edge."
Eastham will take his team to Edinburgh during the half term break where they will meet top Scottish School Heriot's before travelling to Madras College at St Andrews.
