YMCA competed well in the first half and restricted the visitors to a 2-0 lead. However, in the second half they lost their fighting spirit allowing Foxhall to take command. The visitors added a further seven goals with Nicky Vann notching a YMCA consolation. Andy Zeal and Adam Stewart were both impressive in an otherwise disappointing YMCA team display. YMCA were unfortunate to go home empty-handed after this hard fought contest. They adapted comfortably to the wet and blustery conditions. They deservedly went ahead when Richard Ayres forced home Michael Spencer's corner but Foxhall soon levelled. Mid-way through the second half Foxhall grabbed the winner when they blocked a YMCA free kick and immediately raced upfield to score. Mark Jolly was outstanding.

THE visitors carved out the better chances in the first half but YMCA defended resolutely and the score remained goalless at the break. YMCA's attack began to look dangerous. A goal by Sean Atkinson broke the deadlock and within five minutes Dan Dickinson doubled YMCA's lead. Five minutes from time Alan O'Laughlin cashed-in on a mix-up in the visitors' defence and prodded home from close range. YMCA keeper Andy Mitchell made some important saves.
