THE Prison Service has confirmed that police have been called in to investigate allegations made by an inmate concerning a member of staff employed at Lancaster Farms.
They have also confirmed that the Governor of Lancaster Farms has refused to allow inmates to attend the working farm near to the prison while the investigations are taking place.
A prison service spokesman said: "We cannot comment at this stage."
