THE vaccination scheme fighting the meningitis 'C' virus, which has so far reduced cases of the disease by 75 per cent, is entering its final stage.
The disease, which kills around 150 children in Britain each year, mainly targets children, and so the scheme itself targets children from 4 to 17 years old.
All that is left to do now is treat those children that have, for a variety of reasons, missed their vaccinations.
If anybody is concerned that their child has not yet been vaccinated, they should contact their school nurse.
