STAFF employed by Morecambe Bay Health Trust are to benefit from a grant of £50,000 from the Department for Employment and Education, to promote 'lifelong learning'.
A number of organizations joined forces to bring about the project, particularly headed by the Joint Union Committee.
The fact that some staff work shifts makes education at colleges impractical, so a 24 hour learning centre will be set up. All staff will have the opportunity to benefit, but particularly those whose 'employability' could be improved by courses such as computer training.
