THE city council is considering selling the building which houses Lancaster's Tourist Information Centre in a bid to boost its finances.
The TIC, currently on Castle Hill, would be moved to the city museum in Market Square.
It's just one of the many proposals being looked at as part of a review of council-owned property.
Finance chief Geoff Wilson said: "If the TIC was relocated to the city museum it would attract more people into the museum and at the same time realise capital for the council. I think it makes a lot of sense."
Estate manager Graham Cox said "At this moment there's been no instruction to sell the Castle Hill building but that doesn't mean it won't be sold sometime in the future."
