A REFUGEE from Kosova has been killed in an accident involving a bus on Blackpool Promenade that happened last Wednesday (October 10).
The incident happened at 4.03pm as the bus was travelling south along the promenade.
The man has yet to be properly identified, and police are carrying out enquiries among a number of Kovsovan refugees that are based in Blackpool.
It is believed that the man was walking south along the pavement between Adelaide Street West and New Bonny Street, near Funland Amusements and stepped out into the road as he walked round a lamp standard.
The man received serious injuries from which died of at the scene.
Police cordoned off the scene (pictured) and stopped the south-bound flow of traffic between Adelaide Street and Bonny Street.
The driver of the bus was said to be being treated for shock.
